pioLT/kaonLT meeting minutes. June 15, 2023 Nathan: Comparisons of NGC calibration using multi-Gaussian method vs. poisson method. The multi-Gaussian method is more prone to failure in some circumstances, so will use the poisson method. Calibrations for 2021/2022 are ready. Suggests an initial cut of NPE>3 - more analysis will be needed to determin efficiency and pion rejection. Next: moving on to HGC. Richard: Planning to meet with Peter to discuss luminosity scan data/analysis. Discussion of issues with batch farm vs. HGC cut script. Still having "memory issues" according to farm error message. To be fixe. Going back to pion and proton subtraction from data (still some issues visible in missing mass spectra). Want to do next replay soon - once offsets complete. Ali: Still working on offsets - looking to fill in the interesting region of HMS momentum. Preparing slides for CAP (next week). Alicia: Also preparing for CAP - showed draft slides quickly (results plots will change a little due to beam polarization). Will show only one fit to the phi dependence - since it's a short talk, diving into the details of the 2 ways of fitting might be more information than is needed.
