The data yield was constant while the MC yield dropped - rechecked scripts, cuts, yield and average kinematic calculations - found the error: Wfactor was missing in the functional form fit to sig_L,T - with the Wfactor included, Data/MC ratios went from 6->1 when doing first iteration. Great news! - doing a 2nd iteration gave ratios slightly closer to 1 - Data/MC ratios show a phi-dependence that grows with -t, clearly need to add LT,TT terms to fit - the Data/MC ratios show a slightly worse t-dependence at low epsilon than high epsilon, clearly the t-dependence in sigT is not correct - sigT in fact right now has NO t-dependence in its function, only Q2-dependence - next steps: try iterations with LT,TT - after that, add some t-dependence to sigT Nacer ----- KaonLT Q2=0.50 LT-separations - moving from Fpi-2 pi+ functional form to sig_factorized form - GH helped with Fortran code today - still making code checks - will incorporate missing Wfactor discovered by Junaid Alicia ------ pi+n BSA PLB changes - GH got CLAS12 Q2,xB standard deviations from Stefan Diehl - shows new version of Fig 4, it's deemed acceptable - GH will add to the paper, including an expanded figure caption - Alicia is making various changes to text based on referee comments, GH will review before relasing to rest of group - GH received VR model from B-G Yu, they reconstructed the model from what was in the VR paper and did some code checks to see it reproduced their calculations - Alicia will calculate VR BSA for the actual experiment kinematics using this code - radiative correction sensitivity checks requested by referee - added sigLT'=0.1*sig0 to SIMC model - generating beam helicity randomly and output to tree - still checking code - Dave suggests to plot sigCM vs phi for each helicity state to see if you are getting the desired phi-modulation Nathan ------ PionLT COIN blocking correction - plots of CTime.CoinTime_RAW_ROC2 - features of plot vary as expected with current, more tails outside valid COIN region at high current compared to low current - we expect a correction of only a few percent, so the tails only grow moderately - will form ratios of (window 30-130 ns)/Total and plot versus rate to make sure things make sense - for actual correction, expect to calculate ratio on run-by-run basis - Dave agrees this is a sensible way to proceed - re-ran data w/corrected CT offset - for some reason, Junaid's offset was off by 0.9ns, this has been corrected Chi Kin ------- KaonLT Q2=3.0, W=3.14 LT-sep - MM shifting to correct Lambda mass - now fitting just the central peak region w/Gaussian, appears to work well - Sigma0 contributions - tried fitting Sigma peak w/ Crystal Ball function, it works well - this is a piece-wise function, with Gaussian in the center and extended tails https://www.jlab.org/primex/weekly_meetings/slides_2009_07_17/dmitry/crystalball.html - other checks - found occasional repeated runs in runlist which needs to be fixed - some replay files seem to be corrupted - Alicia will see if she has replayed copies of some of these runs - for others, suggest to contact Stephen Kay Next Meeting ------------- - Fri Sept 12 @ 11:00 Eastern/9:00 Regina - KaonLT will go first ** NOTE THE NEW TIME ** - this time will be in effect until USA daylight savings time change, after which it will switch to 10:30 Eastern/9:30 Regina
