PionLT Q2=3.85 LT-separations
23
- last week, showed that Data/MC ratios went from 6->30 when doing first
24
iteration, something clearly wrong
25
- checked the yield calcs for Data & MC, and they were consistent with the
26
increasing ratio. The data yield was constant while the MC yield dropped
27
- rechecked scripts, cuts, yield and average kinematic calculations
28
- found the error: Wfactor was missing in the functional form fit to sig_L,T
29
- with the Wfactor included, Data/MC ratios went from 6->1 when doing first
30
iteration. Great news!
31
- doing a 2nd iteration gave ratios slightly closer to 1
32
- Data/MC ratios show a phi-dependence that grows with -t, clearly need to
33
add LT,TT terms to fit
34
- the Data/MC ratios show a slightly worse t-dependence at low epsilon than
35
high epsilon, clearly the t-dependence in sigT is not correct
36
- sigT in fact right now has NO t-dependence in its function, only
37
Q2-dependence
38
- next steps: try iterations with LT,TT
39
- after that, add some t-dependence to sigT

KaonLT Q2=0.50 LT-separations
44
- moving from Fpi-2 pi+ functional form to sig_factorized form
45
- GH helped with Fortran code today
46
- still making code checks
47
- will incorporate missing Wfactor discovered by Junaid
48
49
Alicia
50
------
51
pi+n BSA PLB changes
52
- GH got CLAS12 Q2,xB standard deviations from Stefan Diehl
53
- shows new version of Fig 4, it's deemed acceptable
54
- GH will add to the paper, including an expanded figure caption
55
- Alicia is making various changes to text based on referee comments, GH will
56
review before relasing to rest of group
57
- GH received VR model from B-G Yu, they reconstructed the model from what was
58
in the VR paper and did some code checks to see it reproduced their
59
calculations
60
- Alicia will calculate VR BSA for the actual experiment kinematics using
61
this code
62
- radiative correction sensitivity checks requested by referee
63
- added sigLT'=0.1*sig0 to SIMC model
64
- generating beam helicity randomly and output to tree
65
- still checking code
66
- Dave suggests to plot sigCM vs phi for each helicity state to see if you
67
are getting the desired phi-modulation
68
69
Nathan
70
------
71
PionLT COIN blocking correction
72
- plots of CTime.CoinTime_RAW_ROC2
73
- features of plot vary as expected with current, more tails outside valid
74
COIN region at high current compared to low current
75
- we expect a correction of only a few percent, so the tails only grow
76
moderately
77
- will form ratios of (window 30-130 ns)/Total and plot versus rate to make
78
sure things make sense
79
- for actual correction, expect to calculate ratio on run-by-run basis
80
- Dave agrees this is a sensible way to proceed
81
82
- re-ran data w/corrected CT offset
83
- for some reason, Junaid's offset was off by 0.9ns, this has been corrected

KaonLT Q2=3.0, W=3.14 LT-sep
88
- MM shifting to correct Lambda mass
89
- now fitting just the central peak region w/Gaussian, appears to work well
90
- Sigma0 contributions
91
- tried fitting Sigma peak w/ Crystal Ball function, it works well
92
- this is a piece-wise function, with Gaussian in the center and extended tails

94
95
- other checks
96
- found occasional repeated runs in runlist which needs to be fixed
97
- some replay files seem to be corrupted
98
- Alicia will see if she has replayed copies of some of these runs
99
- for others, suggest to contact Stephen Kay
