Nov 7/24 PionLT/KaonLT Analysis Meeting Notes |

(Notes by Dave Gaskell) |
4 |
|
5 |
Dave didn't remember whose turn it was to go first, so picked PionLT |
6 |
at random. |

------ |
10 |
Showed luminosity scan slopes from carbon singles for each scan |
11 |
separately, and for all scans combined. Slope consistent with zero, offset |
12 |
close to 1.0 |
13 |
|
14 |
LH2 slopes show a lot of variation, one scan shows anti-boiling. Some scans |
15 |
have obvious outlier points. Will go back and investigate source of outliers |
16 |
and variations. |

done. |

------ |
29 |
Busy with coursework after comprehensive. Starting the GEANT4 work on for |
30 |
proton absorption in the SHMS. |
31 |
|
32 |
Paper is with editors after receiving two reports. |

34 |
Nacer |
35 |
----- |
36 |
H(e,e')p singles. The SHMS elastic peak (data) looks pretty strange/bad for |
37 |
the 10.6 GeV running (P_SHMS=-8 GeV). Could it be a saturation issue? |
38 |
If the resolution tuning correction is on, it might be worth trying to turn |
39 |
it off. |
40 |
|
41 |
Some discussion about offsets and which ones were used. Nacer realized that |
42 |
he may not have applied offsets consistently for all settings. |
